Neil Young - Pocahontas (Cover)
This song got into my head tonight after several tries to see the supposed aurora borealis that was happening tonight here in PA. I’ve never seen one before, and unfortunately that streak continues. But it inspired me to play, at least. I figured instead of listening to Neil play this song, I would just give it a go — did one practice take and recorded the second try.

You used to say I had what it takes
I think I did if you meant too little too late
I’ve been exploring Jason Molina’s work lately after news of his passing. I loved his lyrics and was looking forward to more from him after the EP he released last year — it’s a shame we’ll never get to hear more.
If you are new to Jason, he has a quite a few albums to dig into — I haven’t even scratched the surface myself. They’re all available to stream for free at http://live.magnoliaelectricco.com/ . My favorites so far are the live album Trials & Errors or Nashville Moon, the source of the song above.
